The Autumn Tag!

I think Autumn tends to be a favourite season for quite a lot of people - it's certainly mine - which is probably why I wanted to take part in Georgina's tag. I also did her tag in 2013, but as she's created some new questions this time around, I thought it would be rude not to fill it out again!

1. Ok, we're talking coffee - what's you're favourite seasonal drink from Costa, Cafe Nero etc?
I know everyone loves it, but the pumpkin spice latte thing sounds absolutely rank. Like, seriously. Just, ugh. I would say my 'seasonal' drink would be a special hot chocolate, with maybe mint or cinnamon syrup added, lots of cream and a dusting of chocolate on top. Yum! I would drink this all year round, though.

2. Accessories - what do you opt for, scarfs, boots, gloves?
I'm trying to get into being a hat person. I really suit hats (says Joe) and I would like to branch out a bit and make autumn my 'hat' season. Usually, though, I like wearing brogues or boots, definitely a scarf and some gloves. Those weird technology gloves are a must for me, as long train journeys mean I'll need to be able to skip songs and tweet throughout my travel!

3. Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
I don't really listen to music seasonally. Even Christmas songs can be played in the wrong seasons for me - dun, dun, duuuuun - so this is a bit tricky. Probably The Smiths, as Autumn can be quite miserable, weather wise, so why not listen to the moanings of Morrissey? I played a lot of The Smiths and Morrissey when I briefly moved to London a few years ago, and that was in the Autumn so it's quite fitting.

4. Perfume - what's your favourite type of scent for this time of year?
All of my perfumes are quite light and floral, which is more summery, really. My favourite scents are cinnamon and vanilla though, for this season.

5. Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?
I need to get my wax tarts out and see what I have left! I really like the Yankee Candles cranberry scents, so I might have to make a special trip out and get some of those. And maybe something with a touch of ginger.

6. What do you love most about Autumn?
My biiiiirthday! Which is less than a month away, guys! Get excited! I adore birthdays, but my 21st was a bit crap (I'd just moved away from all my family and friends), and last year was fun but marred by a really stupid uni project, so I'm hoping for big things for this year! I'll be turning 23, which is my favourite number too, so that's gotta be good!

7. Favourite makeup look?
I don't really like autumn make up trends. I look silly with a strong brow, and the no-top-lip syndrome means I look even sillier with a berry lip. Plus, it's cold! I've usually got my face stuffed in a scarf, so I just stick to being well moisturised.

8. What are you most looking forward to in Autumn?
I've got quite a few things to look forward to, which is great. Going for lunch with the girls next week, then I'm off to Cardiff at the start of October, my birthday in the middle, then a date with Leona at the end of the month. November sees our trip to London and then it'll be winter - woo!

I thought this was a really great tag, and I'm gunna tag Michelle, Kloe and Leona to do it! Of course, if anyone else fancies it, you're more than welcome!

  5. I thought I might not like pumpkin spice lattes, but then I tried one and... yeah. They're a little too sweet to have too often but they are actually pretty good. To me. Who loves pumpkin pie, at least when it's not overloaded with sugar. I think I probably just like pumpkin in sweet things in general. Hate the smell when it's cooking, would never actually eat it as a vegetable, gross.

I should ask my mom to send along some of my knit hats. I have so many and she needs to ship my coat to me as I didn't bring it to London and it's kind of getting cold already.
