"I Get By With A Little Help..."

"From my iPad..." That's how the song should go, amiright? I know, I know, some people would frown at me, but I am definitely the bribing kind of parent. When I had no choice but to bring Dylan with me to Bath to hand in my final uni pieces for the year, I was instantly filled with dread. It's over an hour on the train, and then we'd have to wait on platforms, go to the printers, get a bus, and wait in a busy computer lab while I printed off a few extra things for my sketchbook. Then we'd have to repeat the journey to get home. Dread.

As much as I love Dylan - and really, I do - he's still a toddler, and we're not really a 'going on trains' family, despite the fact I seem to spend half of my life on them! However, I was pleasantly surprised at home easily I managed to bribe Dylan into being good. I'd brought my iPad along - he isn't allowed to touch it at home, so you can imagine how amazing it was for him - and let him watch some weird 90s Hulk cartoon. He loved it. Sure, he got a bit restless at times, and wanted to run about, but he's two, and did manage to let him free for a little while. It was a good balance.

So, after this successful trip, my uni friends suggested that I bring him for our farewell meal on Friday. In Bath. In Jamie's Italian. I had wanted to do a little review of the place, but it was just too difficult. Instead, I tried my bribing method again and somehow ended up with over 200 photos from the two hour lunch. I've picked a few of Dylan's best shots to share with you all...

Hi Dylan's face! *waves*
Somehow don't think he'll be a master photographer any time soon...
So yeah, instead of a restaurant review, we have sections of Dylan's blurry face. You're welcome! As I'm clearly a glutton for punishment, I've also decided to bring Dylan to #SWBlogSocial this Saturday. Let me know if you're coming and I can make you a babysitter we can chat!
