A Moroccan Dream

When I heard about the Cunard cruise competition to win a £1000 John Lewis voucher, I couldn't believe how perfectly timed it was. With us hopefully moving at the end of the month, £1000 worth of John Lewis vouchers would make a huge difference for us! The house we're hoping to move into has a dining room AND a proper bath room - two luxuries we don't currently have, so we'll be needed to kit those out!

So, you probably want me to stop blabbing on and tell you how you can enter the competition, right? It's pretty simple, actually. All you have to do is check out the Cunard website, and pick out your favourite Mediterranean port of call. This took me ages to decide, but once you do, you then go on to every blogger's favourite Pinterest and make a board based on your chosen location. The board has to show how you would bring your slice of the Med into the home.

I picked out the Moroccan port of Agadir and here's a few examples from my Pinterest board.

I chose Morocco and the Moroccan style as I really love the intricate patterns and use of colour. I've been wanting to have an orange bedroom for a while, and I think Joe might be more willing if I stick to a mostly white base and little hints of orange and teal, rather than an orange wall or three. I included the image of the plates, as I'd love to have something like that hung on the wall in our dining room. I've wanted to visit Morocco for such a long time as I've always been interested in the country's history, and their rich culture. Everything from the food, to the buildings, to the beautiful landscapes, Morocco seems to be the country that has it all. I'm determined that one day Joe and I will go their, as I'm sure he'd love to get his hands on the myriad of spices they have available.

There's still time to enter the competition as it ends tomorrow (Friday) at midnight! The rules are all here so make sure you give them a read before you get started. I hope you liked my entry and take a look at my board for any inspiration!

  1. That wall paper is amazing! I love the plates too. I'm always the person who heads straight for the pastels for family areas and darks for the bedroom/bathrooms. I just can't seem to change that haha.
