Motivation: Better Late Than Never

Okay, so yesterday I decided I would type out my post whilst trying to get Dylan to sleep and it just resulted in a warbly collection of text and I had a bit of a cry. No body needed to read that, so I scrapped it and sent myself to bed.

This was taken yesterday. Can't waste any motivation to take a new one, ha!
With two important deadlines looming, I need motivation now more than ever. I've only just this second considered taking the day off from uni work, but alas, I cannot justify that - and I know I'll be regretting it later. This is because a Saturday off as well as a Sunday off (gotta go to work, guys!) is in fact two days off and I can't allow that with the amount of work I have steadily growing in the back of my mind. Another reason I can't justify a day off is that I think I have to go into uni four times next week, which is a huge pain in the arse. I'll lose 16 hours of working time and that's just from commuting. Again, 16 hours I can't afford to waste today.

So, I need to work my butt off today. Then, as a reward, later this evening I can write my post for today's #BEDM challenge. Phew, this posting every day malarky is hard stuff!

Do you have any tips for motivating yourself? Send 'em my way!

  1. I find hearing about and seeing other people work super hard helps! If I'm at uni and not feeling terribly motivated, a quick walk through the library makes me realise if all these people can work solidly for hours so can I!

Hope you get lots done today!

    1. That sounds too much like hard work, haha! Maybe this is where I'm going wrong...

  2. Best of luck. When I need motivation I watch the video where the Higgs Boson gets announced and Peter Higgs cries. As I want to work in a similar field I find it very humbling.

    1. That sounds really lovely! I might just start listening to a load of Irish bands to get me through it! xxx

  3. Oh bless your little cotton socks, a good cry is always quite motivating I think; get it out of your system and knuckle down. Failing that a naked Ryan Reynolds waiting for when you're done? That'd work too.
