Be You With May Fourth The!

Today is Star Wars Day! I'm really not a huge sci-fi fan, so Star Wars Day isn't really one I celebrate. I like to be all pedantic and point out that we say the date differently when people say May The Fourth to me. Sorry guys, but I'm a bit of a killjoy like that. A lot of my chums are big Star Wars fans so I don't know why I didn't get all up in that franchise - probably due to the shoddy films we had - but hey, each to their own and all that.

My little brother's entry to his school's Easter egg comp. He didn't even win.
Apparently, celebrating May The Fourth started out as a Conservative campaign as good ol' Maggie Thatcher came into power on a May 4th and the Tory's ran an ad with the slogan. Is this true? Maybe. Have I ruined your fun? Probably not.

Today hasn't been very exciting, like I said in my post yesterday I work on Sundays. As the sun is out, the day seemed to slowly tick by, not that I was clock-watching or anything. Tonight, however, is going to be awesome as I have loads of blogs to catch up on and we're having lasagne for tea - yay lasagne! If you're taking part in #BEDM let me know in the comments and I'll add you to my reading list.

Did you have an exciting day? Did you do any Yoda impressions?

  3. I'm not a Star Wars fan myself, despite also having friends who like it. That Yoda your brother made is amazing though!
