Not So Peachy...

I should have known that getting my hair grey would be a long process - even if I did take the shortcut. Instead of sensibly going to the hairdressers, and having a professional do their thing, I took my own lead. As I type, I have peachy/orange hair and instead of getting lighter, it seems to be getting brighter. Which is annoying. If only I dreamt of being Mario's damsel in distress...

So, this is how I'd like my hair, please. It's not all grey and gloomy, I've added splashes of lilac and the palest blue. Isn't it dreamy? I really like how some of the 'looks' have dark roots peaking through, which gives me hope that I won't need to be bleaching my roots every few weeks. I'm going to go toner/purple shampoo-mad with my hair for the next few weeks and hope that I lose the peachy edge. Fingers crossed that by my next hair update, I'll have the wonderful hair that I have always wanted!

Do you have any tips for going grey? How can I get away from peach?

  1. USE PURPLE/SILVER TONER. it will take out the copper and will allow you to go whiter. you gotta go whiter before you go grey and before you go silver. AND LOOK AFTER IT. because it will be BRITTLE.

  3. A toner will help as will a clarifying shampoo. Make sure you invest in lots of hair masks, oils and conditioner. I'd love to get my hair this colour but I'm in a perpetual state of orange!

  4. I love your bright hair! When I had mine white/silver I used the purple shampoo stuff and would leave it on for hours I used to use this wash in thing from superdrug too, it just added a tint to it every wash eventually I got the perfect shade :)

  5. You will get there! I'm so clueless with hair dying! I'm going to buy a blonde box dye this week to go lighter! It will likely to go ginger knowing my hair. YouTube tutorials are very very useful xxx
