Festival Wishlist!

Although I'm not a total festival novice, I definitely feel like I need to get my act together and find some goodies to take with me. It's not too bad though, as unlike the lucky lot that are going to Glasto at the weekend (which is ridiculous as I live twenty minutes away!!!) or have been to the Isle of Wight festival, my festival isn't until mid September. Plenty of shopping time, I hope!

So yes, I need to get my butt in gear as we don't even have a tent yet. Of course, this isn't going to be a tent wishlist, although I'm sure someone out there might enjoy that, right? As the festival I'm attending, Festival Number 6, isn't til later on, I'm hoping that we get another one of those 'Indian Summers' and the weather isn't too bad. (I hate to brag, but isn't that a corker of a lineup?!)

I already have some ankle wellies, but really, if the mud goes past my ankle I'll be pretty screwed. I have been looking at the holy grail of wellies - Hunters - and although I would love a pair of these, they are a bit out of my price range. For the sake of the wishlist, I have included them as, well, what's the point of a wishlist if you don't have something extremely out of your budget?! Don't you just love that minty shade?

So, as I already have some clothes, I didn't want to bore you with things like tshirts and nightwear - as it gets so bloody cold, even if it's been 25 degrees during the day, and even colder if it's been raining - and have only included things that I don't really have. This pinafore is so on trend right now, and I desperately need one for my wardrobe. Like a trouper, I have a nice grey knitted pinafore but that really shouldn't be part of anybody's summer attire. I really love the light denim and the button detailing, which I think makes it look more expensive than it really is. You've gotta love Primark, amiright?

The jumper is also from Primark, all accessible via ASOS of course, and I really, really love it. At £8 it's a bloody steal as well! I imagine it's quite thin, so it would be perfect for throwing on over a vest top if you think the weather is a bit murky and easily removed if the sun shows up. Plus it has everyone's favourite mice on, so that makes it doubly essential in my opinion!

H&M are good for so many basic items, so if Primark fails me in any department, I know I can head there for something roughly the same price and slightly better quality. I really love the aztec feel to these shorts, and they would go perfectly well with a jacket I already have. Plus, I love that the colours are quite dark, so if you fell over in the mud - it could happen! - then it's slightly less noticeable. A good trait to have when going to a festival, yes?

Would any festival wardrobe be complete without a floral headband or crown? I think not, so I've gone for this burgundy number. I love being a bit awkward, and as summer is generally pastel shades and whatnot, I thought this would really vamp it up a bit. Plus, I think I'd look like a bit of a wally with lemon roses on my head, and slightly less so with this lovely wine shade. Speaking of pastels, I had to give these Happy Socks a nod, as they do some superb socks. They're a Swedish brand, and I really love their wacky patterns.

So there we have my basic 'starter pack' guide to festival attire. Like I said at the start, I'm not a novice and hardly an expert, but I think these would all make a nice contribution to my wardrobe anyways...

Did I miss off anything essential? Let me know!
